The Tour of Wessex brings the drama and excitement of a bicycle stage race to Southern England. International teams competing against the UK's top professionals over a three stage, 300-mile race on a route that includes some of the best scenery and most well know sites in the UK; including Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, Exmoor National Park, and the Jurassic Coast.

 In addition to the elite race a few thousand amateur cyclists will ride the Tour of Wessex Cyclosportive using the same routes on the same days as the race with many participants raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Since 2006 the event organisers have supported the work of the Air Ambulance with over ?10,000 being donated.
