About

Since 2006 the Tour of Wessex has been a legendary test of endurance, determination, and cycling prowess, drawing riders from around the world to take on one of the most exhilarating challenges in the UK. Held annually on the last Saturday of May, this iconic event offers three route options—125km, 250km, or an epic 375km—each demanding strength, strategy, and resilience. Riders must complete their chosen distance within strict time limits to earn the coveted finisher’s medal, a symbol of the achievement.
The adventure doesn’t end there. On Sunday, those cyclists still willing and able can take part in the 110km Café Ride, a more relaxed yet equally rewarding experience designed to showcase more of the breathtaking landscapes of Wessex. This social ride provides the perfect opportunity for participants to soak in the scenery, recover from the previous day’s efforts, and share stories with fellow riders over coffee and cake. Whether pushing personal limits on Saturday or savoring the camaraderie on Sunday, the Tour of Wessex delivers an unforgettable weekend of cycling.
More than just a challenge, this event is a celebration of the sport, uniting cyclists in their love for the road. With stunning countryside, expertly planned routes, and a community-driven atmosphere, the Tour of Wessex remains a bucket-list event for cycling enthusiasts worldwide.
